Hey Folks!
I am a few days into tour now in the southern interior of British Columbia. I ve really been enjoying the shows, and driving through this area is always a treat, especially at this time of year. It is so beautiful, and relaxing. I understand why people choose this part of the country to call home. We are blessed to be surrounded by such magnificent landscapes all across Canada.
I had the pleasure, and surprise of opening for Joey Cape (Lagwagon), Brian Wahlstrom, Walt Hamburger, and Steven Rawles (Belvedere) in Calgary this past Sunday at Broken City as part of the One Week Records tour. It was a really amazing show! It is always exciting meeting people from bands that you've looked up to for so long, and have them totally exceed all of your expectations. What are great crew of guys, it was an honour to share the stage with them. Also, a huge thank you to my good buddy Bj Downey for heping to get me onto the stage for the show!
I then had two relaxing days in Fernie, playing at the Brickhouse both nights and got the chance to catch up with my pals in Shred Kelly. It is always a blast seeing them!
I arrived in Kimberley yesterday, to the home of my guitar player and Canmore ex-pat, Robin "Sideburns" Pereira. He joined me for the show last night at the Green Door. I hope that everyone at the show enjoyed us insulting each other all night on stage:) haha We had a great time! If your are ever in this neck of the woods, go check this place out! A truly inspiring artist based type of venue run by really amazing people. I love stumbling upon these types of places on my travels!
Saddling up today to head on to Nelson. It will be my first time visitng and I couldn't be more excited! It is almost surreal to finally be going there. I've heard so much about it in my ten years of living in Western Canada, but the stars have yet to align untill today! I'll be playing at The Blue Mule Espresso Bar at 8PM. Please pass word along if you have any Nelson buddies!
On that note I will leave you. Every day has been inspiring and exciting with every turn of the highway, to all the new folks I've met, and old friends I've seen. Can't wait to see you all soon!
Much love,
Seth
